Especially for the discriminating DXer with lots of money to
spend, the BLANDX Awards Committee has added the following awards
to our already extensive collection. For a 82p booklet listing all
837 awards plus the 509 entry SASWA Country List, just send me a
blank signed check. Glen
"THE" DXER: For verification of 50 stations using "The" in their
name, slogan, or ID (i.e. "HCJB, The Voice of the
Andes", or "You are listening to The Voice of Greece").
DHEVEHI-GUARANI DXER: For verification of 25 nations that are
officially bilingual in both Dhevehi and Guarani.
PEDRO DXER: For verification of 30 stations with a verification
signer named Pedro.
PEDRO DXPERT: For verification of at least 60 stations with a
verification signer named Pedro. At least 10 stations must be
from Asia.
EUGENIA STEPANOVA DXER: For verification of at least 10 Radio
Moscow transmitter sites that were inactive at time of
logging. Sites must be listed on the QSL cards.
EVANGELISTIC HEAVEN DXER: For verification of at least 15
religious broadcasters that bit the dust (i.e. ETLF, R Cordac)
LLAMA-MAN DXER: For verification of at least ten Bolivian
shortwave stations carrying this popular superhero radio
drama.
PERUVIAN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION DXER: For verification of any
twenty-five stations that carry YL five digit series of
Spanish numbers, as sponsored by the Peruvian Ministry of
Education.
Well, that's it for another month. Look out next month for a
new award for verifying small Peruvian stations that do not have
"Hua" or "Ch" in their names.
